How to Purchase a French Bulldog Puppy From Must Be Frenchies
Purchasing a French Bulldog puppy should be a straightforward and transparent process. Below is an overview of how we reserve puppies, accept deposits, match puppies with families, and prepare them for their journey home. If you are still researching the breed and what to expect from puppy ownership, we encourage you to read our French Bulldog Adoption Guide.
Review Our Purchase Contract
Before reserving a puppy, we encourage all families to carefully review our purchase contract so there are no surprises later in the process.
Once you have reviewed the contract and are comfortable with the terms, we can move forward with reserving your puppy through our Puppy Portal, where documents can be signed electronically and health records can be accessed at any time.
Once you have reviewed our contract and found a puppy that interests you, the next step is reserving your puppy.
Every puppy is raised inside our home and prepared for a smooth transition into family life.
How To Reserve A Puppy
Reserving a puppy allows us to hold that puppy exclusively for your family and begin preparing for their transition into your home. A deposit of $1000.00 is required to reserve one of our Frenchie puppies. Your deposit is deducted from the total purchase price. In the event that you can not complete the purchase of the puppy your deposit will be held and you may apply it to a future puppy. We always reserve the right to refuse a sale if it is in the best interest of the puppy.
A deposit is required to hold a puppy that is not old enough to leave us yet, without a deposit we will secure your puppy for 24 hours after which time it will again be offered on our website.
Payment Methods
WE ACCEPT PAYMENTS THROUGH ZELLE, VENMO, GOOD DOG OR ANY MAJOR CREDIT CARD
The preferred method of payment is through Zelle. We do accept payments by credit card but we do charge a small processing fee of 3%. If you decide to use a credit card we will send you an invoice by email and the payment will be made using a secure platform. If the final payment is made with a cashiers check or postal money order it must arrive and clear before we will release the puppy to you. If you choose to pick up your puppy in person you will need to pay for the puppy in advance or bring cash to pay the balance due.
PLEASE NOTE:
To protect both buyers and sellers from charge backs, all credit card payments are processed through secure payment platforms and documented for accuracy and security.
Waiting List Policy
Many families join our waiting list before a litter is born so they have the best opportunity to select a puppy that matches their preferences. Our waiting list is designed for families who want priority access to future litters. Many puppies are reserved before they are old enough to go home, so joining the waiting list can provide earlier access to upcoming puppies.
Our paid waiting list requires a $500 deposit and gives you priority access to future litters. Waiting list families are contacted first and have the opportunity to select a puppy before puppies are offered to the general public.
You will have until they are 4 weeks of age to make a choice, if none of the puppies suit you then we move on to the next person on the paid waiting list. Your deposit is then applied to the next litter and so on until the puppy you want becomes available or is born. If at anytime you decide you want to use your deposit on an older puppy you may do so as long as that puppy is not already spoken for.
If at anytime you decide you no longer want to be on the paid waiting list we will refund $400 of your deposit, we will retain $100 for administration expenses.
How Puppies Are Matched With Families
We will ask you a bit about your lifestyle when you first inquire, we will also ask you more about your home life when we speak on the phone. For the most part you are allowed to choose your own puppy but we do guide and assist by making suggestions that fit your life. Puppies are like people, some are more active than others and would do better with an active family or a family with children, a more relaxed puppy could do better with a more quiet adult home, it just depends on the puppy's personality and your circumstances. We want to make the right fit, no matter how cute the puppy is it will not be a welcome addition if it doesn't fit in properly.
Regular Puppy Updates
Once you have decided on a puppy you will receive regular updates by email or cell phone texts. When the puppies are younger we often send updated photos about every 14 days. Once the puppies are older we like to send short videos of your puppy to your cell phone.
When Puppies Go Home
Our puppies typically go home at 9 weeks of age, depending on their development and individual needs.
Pickup and Delivery Options
1. You may pick up up your new Frenchie puppy in person, we do this by appointment only.
2. You are welcome to fly into the Springfield Branson International Airport to collect your Frenchie puppy, we can meet you there curbside this option costs $150. The airport is quite a long trip so be sure to let us know of any delays.
3. We can arrange semi-private hand delivery of your Frenchie puppy to your front door for an additional $500.00 fee. This service is provided by a small family owned company that is local to me. They transport puppies to their new homes 3 times a month, they leave on the 4th, the 14th and the 24th of each month unless it is a Sunday in which case they will leave the following day. Hand delivery is currently our most popular option, the puppies get fabulous care and once the trip begins you get a link from the driver allowing you to follow their journey in real time.
