Health testing is an important part of how we plan our French Bulldog breedings. Our adult breeding dogs receive DNA testing for genetic variants associated with inherited conditions relevant to the breed.
We use those results together with veterinary evaluations, our knowledge of our dogs, and the health history within our bloodlines when deciding which dogs to breed. Genetic testing cannot guarantee that a puppy will never develop a health problem, but it gives us valuable information that helps us make more informed breeding decisions.

Yes. Our breeding dogs receive DNA genetic health testing as well as regular veterinary health evaluations. We use those results, together with our knowledge of each dog and the health history within our bloodlines, when making breeding decisions.
What health testing do you perform?
Our breeding dogs receive Embark DNA health testing along with veterinary health evaluations that include hips, elbows, patellas, eyes, heart, and dental health. Some health testing may be submitted to OFA, while other evaluations are documented by our veterinarian as part of our annual USDA and state health examinations.
What does the health guarantee not cover?
Our guarantee is specifically for death or medically necessary euthanasia resulting from a qualifying genetic or congenital condition. It is not pet health insurance and does not cover every illness, injury, or health condition a dog may experience.
